Mächtiger Mercedes
Der Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 war das Spitzenmodell der S-Klasse Modellreihe W 109 und wurde zwischen 1967 und 1972 produziert. Obwohl er ursprünglich nicht für den Rennsport vorgesehen war, kam der 6.3 schon bald in der Tourenwagenmeisterschaften zum Einsatz. Mit der sogenannten "roten Sau" fuhr der AMG im 24-Stunden-Rennen in Spa 1971 zum Klassensieg und landete auf Rang zwei im Gesamtklassement.
