Der HDP-2800ES ist ein Fisheye-Vorsatzkonverter, der bei Verwendung an High Definition Digital-Camcordern und -Kameras Ultra-Weitwinkel-Aufnahmen ermöglicht. Der Konverter wurde so konstruiert, dass er bei 5x Zoomobjektiven über den kompletten Zoombereich fokussiert.

Er besteht aus optischem Eco-Glas mit 3-Gruppen/3-Elementen und zeichnet sich durch besondere Kompaktheit und geringes Gewicht aus. Er erreicht ein hohes Auflösungsvermögen von 475 Linienpaaren pro Millimeter im Bildzentrum (MTF 30%). Bei Verwendung vor einem Weitwinkelobjektiv mit einer Brennweite von 26 mm oder weniger (äquivalent zu 35 mm KB) ermöglicht der Konverter Aufnahmen mit einer Diagonale von 180°.

Zum Lieferumfang gehören zwei Adapterringe mit Anschlussgewinde 52 auf 37 mm und 52 auf 43 mm, mit denen sich der Konverter an Objektiven mit diesen Filtergewindegrößen anschrauben lässt.
