Der Akku LP-EL wurde speziell für die Anforderungen der Blitzlichtfotografie entwickelt. Er bietet eine enorme Kapazität und liefert dem Speedlite EL-1 die große Strommenge, die für schnelle Ladezeiten und Reihenaufnahmen erforderlich ist. Er kann mit einem LC-E6 / LC-E6E Akkuladegerät aufgeladen werden, das sich im Lieferumfang zahlreicher EOS Kameras befindet. Der LP-EL verfügt auch über eine elektronische Schaltung, die es ermöglicht, auf dem Speedlite EL-1 genau anzuzeigen, wie viel Ladung noch vorhanden ist, so dass du den Akku zum richtigen Zeitpunkt austauschen oder aufladen kannst. Ist er einmal voll geladen, liefert der LP-EL Hunderte von Blitzen mit voller Leistung - und das bei einer Lebensdauer von ca. 300 Lade-/Entladezyklen.
