Das NT55 ist ein vielseitiges Kleinmembran-Kondensatormikrofon, das für kritische Aufnahmeanwendungen entwickelt wurde. Mit einer 1/2-Zoll-goldgespritzten Kardioid-Kondensatorkapsel liefert sie einen glatten, ausgewogenen Klang mit sehr geringem Selbstrauschen. Für zusätzliche Flexibilität verfügt es über eine dreistufig schaltbare Vordämpfung (0,-10dB,-20dB) und dreistufigen Hochpassfilter und ist mit der NT45-O omnidirektionalen Wechsel-Kapsel ausgestattet.
Sein außergewöhnlich genaues kardioid polares Muster und der breite Frequenzgang machen den NT55 ideal, um alles aufzunehmen, von akustischen Instrumenten bis hin zu Live-Auftritten und Dialogen vor Ort.
